Michael Thad Allen, Esq. Featured in The Texas Tribune Article

Attorney Michael Thad Allen, of Allen Harris Law, was recently quoted in The Texas Tribune regarding his client, a Texas Tech University law student suing university leadership and faculty after they took disciplinary action for her comments about the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Lubbock, asks a judge to determine whether Texas Tech violated his client’s constitutional rights, also requesting that the written reprimand from her school record be blocked, as it could damage her future legal career, and that monetary damages be awarded.

In his interview, Mr. Allen noted that the case raises a basic question about legal education, and stated, “What kind of lawyers are they going to produce at the Texas Tech School of Law? They can’t be made to feel uncomfortable? That is infantilizing.”
