Attorney Michael Thad Allen of Allen Harris Law was recently interviewed, by Daniel Nuccio of The College Fix, in an article titled, “Historian turned lawyer finds second career suing ‘ridiculous, clearly out of control universities.'” In the article, Mr. Allen overviews the career he established for himself as a lawyer defending college students and faculty against “hallucinatory” accusations from academic institutions.
He touches on the most common cases he and his law firm handle, such as suing universities to recover damages for clients and expunge their records, suing for violations of First Amendment rights related to academic freedom, and most notably, Title IX work. Regarding his Title IX work, Mr. Allen states, “It is most often the case that the accused students come to us seeking legal representation and assistance with…the administrative proceedings in these campus kangaroo courts.”
